we were talking about innovation and technology. we said, let's have an honest discussion. who is not in the room? even the google represented -- eric schmidt was talking to us. he said if we are not making products with the people that are the consumers, we are missing out on a generation of folks. we will then have a market that is only for certain high class people, people who are well educated. how is that gap going to not get bigger and bigger, unless we are recruiting from the communities that we want to sell products and applications to? this is, i think, the greatest accomplishments that successful businesses in san francisco must take on. we are doing that at the local level, in san francisco. i have summer jobs for kids. about one-third of them will be at the technology companies, paid internships, and we are reaching have to disconnect kids. they are not paying attention but they have the creative minds, but they are not paying attention to the regular school stuff, making sure they are included. today, the new media -- i saw a couple of you have a few months ago
